Getting Started

This guide walks you through the steps to get started with Manako.

  1. Create an account

Go to Manako and sign up using one of the following methods:

    • Google account: Click “Continue with Google”
    • GitHub account: Click “Continue with GitHub”
    • Email: Enter your email address and password

When signing up with Google or GitHub, email verification is completed automatically.

  2. Verify your email address

If you signed up with email/password, you will receive a confirmation email. Click the link in the email to verify your address. Until verification is complete, creating monitors and notification channels will be restricted. If you don’t receive the confirmation email, you can resend it from the dashboard.

  3. Create your first monitor

Click “Add Monitor” in the dashboard and enter the URL you want to monitor.

    • Monitor type: Choose from HTTP, Heartbeat, TCP, SSL, or Domain
    • Check interval: Set how often to check (minimum 300 seconds on the Free plan)
    • Name: Give it a descriptive name
  4. Set up notifications

Go to “Notification Channels” and register your email address or Slack Webhook URL. You can configure notification channels per monitor or as a team-wide default.

  5. Start monitoring

Once you enable the monitor, it will automatically start checking at the configured interval. When an issue is detected, an incident is created and alerts are sent to your configured notification channels.
